Welcome to the Los Angeles Neighborhood Clean Up Project Blog!

After a number of initial successful cleanups we figured it was time to organize our efforts online. LANCUP's goal is to help beautify the city of Los Angeles at a micro level, street by street and block by block through community involvement. We seek to ensure that our streets are clear from debris, that runoff does not accumulate in the gutters and drain into our oceans, and that the city takes notice of a growing problem resulting from increased population density. We are always looking for volunteers to either help on the clean up efforts or on the policy side of our work. If you are interested, please contact us at
