We wanted to thank all of you who came out to help us clean up Echo Park on Sunday! We know, there was no sunshine as promised, and we apologize for that. Above is a picture of just some of the trash that we picked up...Go team! (Yeah, the picture is terrible, we know, cell phone camera...John forgot his camera...even though he was reminded to bring it...)

I just wanted to say thank you to all who organized this project. It was good to do good and meet nice people along the way. No matter how many or how few, the hundreds/thousands of cars that passed our little groups could see that we were actively engaged in making Echo Park a better place to live. It registers with people and I bet some even said quietly to themselve - "maybe it's time I do something, too." I look forward to extending the effort to the San Fernando Valley. Peace to all. ReplyDeleteAnyone can clean up a beach. It takes a little something extra though to rally to the allies of Echo Park. Good work everyone.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your efforts everybody, we look forward to working with everybody again in the future. Mark, we will be in touch about a valley clean up as well!
